Container Condition Grades & Sizes
New (One-Trip)
These units are as close to brand‑new as you can purchase. Each container has completed a single voyage from its point of origin—typically China—transporting cargo before being released for sale. As a result, they offer excellent condition, minimal wear, and long service life.
A Grade Used
These are One‑Trip containers that have been used exclusively for portable storage since arriving in the U.S. While they may be a few years old, they remain in excellent condition thanks to minimal handling and limited exposure to port and shipping environments. Many of our rental units fall into this category, offering clean interiors and strong structural integrity at a competitive price point.
Cargo Worthy (CW)
These units are structurally sound and suitable for international shipping, though current certification may vary. They typically exhibit minor cosmetic wear such as dents or surface rust, but remain secure and fully functional for transport or storage applications.
Wind & Watertight (WWT)
These units are free of leaks and structural openings, providing reliable protection from the elements and pests. Typically 12 years or older, they are no longer classified as Cargo Worthy due to cosmetic wear such as dents or areas of surface rust, yet they remain fully suitable for secure, on‑site storage. Many can be repaired to meet Cargo Worthy standards or continue to perform effectively for years as dependable storage solutions.
